Reading Proficiency Action Steps

Action Step 1: Utilize Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to implement evidence-based practices, including vertical alignment in annotation techniques, to increase literacy proficiency for all students. 
Action Step 2: Students and teachers will regularly assess student literacy levels and use this data to inform instruction, set goals, and adjust strategies as needed. 
Action Step 3: Foster a collaborative home-school partnership by ensuring consistent, transparent, and actionable communication regarding student reading progress. This includes educating parents on interpreting STAR assessment data to increase student achievement and confidence.
